What a stylish set of drawers...
Small ones for little hair accessories and big ones for trucks, drums, even walkers!
By Takeshi Miyakawa Design from, of course, Tokyo.......!! I heart Japan.

Now we have found a new space, we can start to think of all smart and stylish ways to fill it....
This Offi Kapsule chair provides storage, and an attractive place to sit. It comes in a range of colours and is only $US45!
It seems I'm not the only one who appreciates this smart little piece of furniture either. The Kapsule Chair was named "one of the best product designs of the year" in 2002 as a recipient of the Silver level Industrial Design Excellence Award (IDEA)

This miniature replica of the original reisenthel carry bag is so cute! It would be great for 'play-shopping' and could double as toy storage.
Available from design3000.

Ingenious! This is the storage solution I have been waiting for!
The Metro Tots Stroll Away hooks over the door and holds your folded stroller out of the way, till the next outing.

Totoro Tissue Box Cover. If you haven't seen the Japanese Anime Totoro, I highly recommend you do so.

I've said it before, but if I lived in the States and could get my hands on ducduc furniture, I would be very happy.
But - because they don't ship to Australia, and I cannot find it here, I can only look.
2Modern has a whole range of new ducduc products online now. This spotted daybed/storage combo caught my eye recently.

...then it's good enough for me.
This Argington Eiffel Book Case is listed on 2Modern as children's storage. I can think of many spots in our place that this would look good!
Such a cool storage solution.

This suitcase/organiser/ride on toy looks like it would be so much fun. And apartment-friendly too, as it serves as a storage space, once playtime is over (.......till tomorrow).
We bought it recently for a friend's one-year-old. Thanks for the ideas sent in response to our post last week!
It can be found at Urban Baby.

My gym is located right next to Howard's Storage World, and right below Bubs Baby Shop ....yes, it is very tempting to make a detour every day.....
I noticed these cool Tubtrugs in Howard's - they come in a variety of sizes and colours and could hold a whole range of things neatly. I'm thinking a big one for toys, and a smaller one for accessories like socks etc....
You can buy them online, if you don't live near a Howard's.

We are starting to accumulate a collection of toys, and Holly has not even had her first birthday. One of my new projects will be finding cool storage ideas.
This Minnen Drake wall pocket from Ikea doubles as a cute dragon wall hanger and is easy to clean.
It also assist with aim and coordination as the kids get older - as they can try to throw their toys into the pockets. That should make one less job for Mum!

This box goes inside the Expedit shelves I made a post about earlier this week. We have several and they are great as you can throw all sorts of items inside, and still keep the place looking relatively neat. As the boxes are fairly transparent, it is easy to see what is inside - which can be handy when you are in a hurry...(we keep our baby wipes in these boxes, so we've had to move fast at times!).
Ikea also have some wicker baskets that do the same job. Ikea makes such simple and practical shelving. I wish I could deck our whole apartment out in the stuff.

Every time we go out to Ikea, these Expedit shelves are sold out! No wonder, they are so handy for storing nearly anything. We keep Holly's nappies, wipes, bibs and other paraphernalia in them.
You can pop out to Ikea - but call or check stock online before you go.
My name is Katie Mackenzie. I have a gorgeous baby girl, and a husband who shares my appreciation for design. We hope to bring Holly up in a place that is full of fun, style and function. We have no room for clutter. And we are limited to products that are available to Australians. This blog summarises our efforts.
